I can’t even begin to tell you the last time I took the time to bake something for someone. It used to be my favorite thing to do…I would spend my weekends and early mornings baking cupcakes, and then I would make my way around town delivering them to friends and family. My obsession with baking even won me the ‘Most Likely To Brighten Your Day’ superlative my senior year in high school! Yeah, that’s how often I showed up to class with homemade cupcakes in hand. 🙈

Now that I’m a bit older, I don’t know if it was really the baking aspect that I loved so much at all. I think it was the reactions and appreciation from those around me when I would show up to their door with sweet treats in hand. Turning something that I enjoyed as much as baking into a random act of kindness made it totally addictive.

Fast forward to today…I’m a stay at home working mama, wife, and small business owner. Where the heck am I supposed to find the time to bake!? It was a whole lot easier when I was 17 without a care in the world, and would quite literally skip class to perfect a new recipe. 😅 I can’t really skip out on my day to day responsibilities as easily as I once could, which honestly is a probably a good thing. But I really do miss spending that time in the kitchen baking something that I knew was going to make someone’s day!

Y’all, let’s be real here for a second, sometimes the pressure that comes with social media and a sea of gourmet dessert Pinterest recipes can be insanely overwhelming. Not to mention the fact that who really has the time to make homemade batter and frosting, and then work the frosting into a piping bag and so on and so forth? I know I don’t! That's where Pillsbury™ Filled Pastry Bags come in! I pretty much freaked out when they reached out to me about trying their new Pastry Bags from Meijer. Can you say total game changer!? It also doesn’t hurt that I have vivid memories of eating Pillsbury Chocolate Frosting by the spoonful when I was younger. This stuff is the bomb. 😂

I know I can’t be the only one who has pulled all of the ingredients in my fridge only to put them all back after realizing that it required me taking the time (that I definitely don’t have) to fill a piping bag, or finding out that I didn’t have any frosting tips or piping bags in the house. With these new Pastry Bags those worries are a thing of the past! It’s just as easy as whipping out a can of frosting from the pantry, but allows you the creative freedom to make your baked goods look as pretty as they would if you had poured each of the ingredients into the mixer yourself. Pair them with one of Pillsbury’s cake mixes, and you’ve got yourself homemade baked goods to brighten someone’s day in less than an hour. And the best part? They totally look like you spent your entire day on them! Add a few fresh garnishes like fresh strawberries on top of Devil’s Food Cupcakes with chocolate frosting like I did, and you’re good to go! Easy enough, right?

I seriously can’t wait to try the other flavors that they’ve come out with…I think I see some Pumpkin Spiced Cupcakes with Pillsbury Cream Cheese Frosting in my future. 😉 If you want to try out these new Pastry Bags for yourself, you can find them in the baking aisle at Meijer! You can also save $1 on any Pillsbury Filled Pastry Bag with this mPerks digital coupon. Happy baking, friends! 💗
