A week full of snow days was definitely not what we were expecting, but their totally welcomed around here! I've never been a huge fan of the snow or the cold for the simple fact that I hate driving in it, but you know what the good news here is? I don't have to venture out in this mess if I don't want to! I mean, other than the fact that I have a hair appointment on Tuesday and a photoshoot on Wednesday ... Maybe I'm not welcoming this cold slush as much as I thought. Indecisive over here, as usual.
Ok, onto the good stuff. Back in high school, you know the whole 5 years ago that it was, I would bake cupcakes every single week of my senior year. It became a fast passion of mine, and somewhere in the hustle of becoming an adult, full time jobs, and life in general, I gave up on it.
Well, friends, I am happy to say that I am back in the kitchen, and the baking bug is officially back in action starting with these AH-MAZING Hot Chocolate Cookies. Seriously, they are the BOMB. My husband probably ate half a dozen of these by himself, and with his picky eating, I take that as a huge representation of how awesome these things are. I made them for a Christmas Eve Cookie Swap, but they are guaranteed to be a hit pretty much wherever you take them! Here's the scoop:

I'm so excited to start sharing more about this old passion of mine around here, and would love to hear what y'all think about the introduction of this new category added to chelceytate.com! Drop a comment below and get the conversation going! P.S. That GORGEOUS "Do Your Best" serving tray was a wedding gift from my sweet mother-in-law and it's from Anthropologie. :)
