Feeling Gray

Feeling Gray www.chelceytate.com

I don't know about you, but my closet consists of a whole lot of gray, a little bit of black, and then some more gray. For a while I was fully convinced that I was in a rut since all I ever wear is neutrals, but then I realized that I'm just finally starting to discover my own personal style. Neutrals and simple shapes are what I feel most confident in, so why would I swap that out with anything else? I will forever reach for a black and white striped shirt over a brightly colored flannel any day!

Speaking of "Feeling Gray", this whole getting dark at 5:30pm thing is seriously killing my vibe! I've always dealt with seasonal depression, but I'm hoping with all of the changes in my daily life underway will help me continuously focus on what's to come in the next few months. If you struggle with this too, I'd love to know what you do to overcome it? I'm about to start going to the tanning bed once a week in hopes that it helps perk up my mood a bit! This girl needs some serious sunshine in her life, stat!

Anyways, now that I've talked about pretty much everything but the outfit in this post, let's get to it! I snagged this sweater from Anthropologie last year for $17 (seriously, I was thrilled!), and of course these jeans are pretty much my favorite on the planet. I don't know what I was even doing before I discovered Madewell ... Top it off with some dainty accessories, and you're good to go!  I know that I tend to show this same basic look often; sweater, jeans and my favorite black booties (not pictured), but it's real! This is what I typically wear, what my personal take on style is and I wouldn't have it any other way. What does your closet look like? Do you tend to reach for the same colors, styles and shapes like I do, or are you a bit more adventurous?
